Mark Wilson Jones, who has long been committed to the emulation of ancient architecture with a classical matrix following a careful historical study, tackles the exhibition theme for the Verona Fair by designing a pavilion-lounge bar inspired by Adolf Loos' American Bar. The space is defined by a basemental peristyle of sixteen Tuscan columns and an attic floor with a coffered ceiling, where an articulation of translucent marbles and mirrors creates a visual multiplication effect. A large marble counter, and a back wall with additional mirrors and brass shelves, are the cornerstones of a place for the reception and display of Pibamarmi's products complemented by stone furnishings and accessories.
