The rigorous project by Alberto Campo Baeza for Pibarmarmi pavilion at 2009 Marmomacc starts from the valorisation of stone, of light and of the concept of time linked to architecture.
The pavilion offers the visitors an introverted space immersed in penumbra, like a void stone chamber thought for stopping by or meditating; it is covered with Carrara marble and marked by the slow passage of luminous rays caressing the surface made of natural stone. In the outside the setting exhibits Pibamarmi design pieces, shown in a wall gallery, as in a collection of archaeological objects, next to historic casts of Classical and Hellenic sculptures lent for the occasion by Florence Accademia delle Belle Arti.
